Taxation
All income of companies and individuals accrued in Malaysia are liable to tax. The direct taxes include income tax (personal and company), stamp duty and real property gains tax (RPGT). The indirect taxes include sales tax, service tax, import and export duties. Sources of incomes that are liable to tax:- - Gains and profits from a trade, profession and business
- gains or profits from an employment (salaries, remunerations, etc)
- dividends, interests or discounts
- rents, royalties or premiums
- pensions, annuities or other periodic payments
- other gains or profits of an income nature
